Elizabeth "Liz" Doris is the director of Joint Institute for Strategic Energy Analysis and has worked in domestic and international energy efficiency and renewable energy policy research for over 20 years.

Most recently at NREL, Doris served as laboratory program manager for NREL's State, Local, and Tribal Program, which aims to support development of efficient, affordable, equitable, and resilient energy systems. The Program primarily supports the U.S. Department of Energy's Weatherization and Intergovernmental Program, the Office of Indian Energy, and the Energy Transitions Initiative.

Additionally, Doris served as senior advisor on energy justice, energy efficiency and renewable energy (on detail from NREL) at the U.S. Department of Energy. In this position, she supported the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy to develop and execute a community centered approach to driving economic development and clean energy national goals.
