Dave leads a group of talented engineers and scientists leveraging computer modeling, lab experimentation, and field validation to conduct research and develop innovations furthering residential building energy efficiency. Dave joined NREL in 2008 with the goal to improve the efficiency of residential buildings in the United States through the development and advancement of building energy modeling technology. Since then, Dave's research interests have expanded to include building science issues related to heat and moisture transport, as well as optimization of building integration into broader energy systems to facilitate higher penetrations of renewable energy resources.
