Wale Aromolaran
Postdoctoral Researcher-Bioengineering
Wale Aromolaran joined NREL’s Renewable Resources and Enabling Sciences Center in 2022 as a postdoctoral researcher. At NREL, Wale’s research focus is directed towards production of valuable precursors upgradable to fuels and value-added chemicals through fermentation of lignocellulosic sugars and arrested anaerobic digestion of food waste.
Prior to NREL, Wale obtained his doctorate in environmental engineering at the University of Ottawa, Canada. While in Ottawa, he investigated leachate blending and anaerobic co-digestion as sustainable strategies to enhance bioenergy production in bioreactor landfills and wastewater treatment plants.
