Venkatesh Chinde joined NREL in 2018 and contributes to the research efforts on autonomous energy systems. His primary focus is on making building energy modeling a dynamic and fully integrated component of the distribution grid and automation systems.

Prior to joining NREL, Dr. Chinde was an intern at Johnson Controls, where he focused on modeling for residential and light commercial buildings. He also served as a faculty member at Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute.
