Sriharsha Etigowni is a senior cybersecurity researcher in NREL’s Energy Security and Resilience Center. His research is focused on the security of cyber physical systems through physics-based verification, physical/control invariants, and applied formal methods to protect operational technology and secure power systems. Etigowni is focused on identifying security implications of integrating renewable resources onto the power grid at the device-, network-, and system-level, and developing solutions for a secure and resilient future grid.

Prior to NREL, he worked for Bosch on automotive in-vehicle communication protocols, and with Siemens on intelligent automated systems for manufacturing. During his Ph.D. and post-doctorate research, Etigowni’s work spanned various cyber physical systems including power grids, drones, automotive, and critical manufacturing.
