Milena Coakley is a drafter and associate designer at NREL's Alaska Campus in Fairbanks. As part of the Sustainable Northern Communities Program, she supports design and deployment of innovative buildings in remote arctic and subarctic regions. Prior to joining NREL, she studied architecture at the Technical University of Berlin and gained experience working at architectural firms, which manifested her interest in sustainable, participatory design.
