Matt Young began his employment at NREL focusing on secondary-ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) of photovoltaic materials, and at present, this continues to be his nearly full-time pursuit. He has also performed electron-probe microanalysis (EPMA) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). He has experience in the growth of Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS) material, and this work also involved designing, constructing, and maintaining the vacuum growth chamber.
