Rois Langner is a senior engineer and the Commercial Buildings Integration subprogram lead for the Buildings Program at NREL. She began working at NREL in 2010 and has focused her research on cost-effective methods to achieve zero energy performance, load flexibility, grid coordination, and equitable decarbonization across the commercial building sector. As NREL’s Commercial Buildings Integration subprogram lead, Rois coordinates projects funded by the Department of Energy’s Building Technologies Office (BTO) and provides strategic leadership to align project goals with NREL and BTO’s missions. Rois is also the global program manager for field demonstration projects funded through the U.S. General Services Administration’s (GSA) Green Proving Ground (GPG) program. She provides technical expertise to GSA during their annual selection of new, clean-tech technologies for the GPG program, and supports NREL’s technical teams in conducting successful validations of those technologies in real-world, operational buildings.
