Before joining NREL, Jie Xiong was a graduate researcher at Purdue University. Jie worked on NSF-funded projects in the field of preference learning, data-driven models, and smart controls. Jie is an expert in human-centered smart control and self-tuned environment system design with extensive knowledge of building envelopes and energy systems, along with the machine learning technique for thorough and dynamic research (data analysis, modeling, and optimization).
