Greg joined NREL in 2019 and is a member of the Building Engineering Science Group. He brings 19 years of experience in design, experimentation, measurement, and verification related to thermal fluid systems. Previous renewable energy research topics have included energy recovery ventilation exchangers, thermosyphon domestic hot water systems, high-temperature thermal energy storage for concentrating solar thermal power generation, and optical and thermal characterization of concentrating solar collectors.
Prior to returning to the renewable energy sector, Greg spent three years working in aerospace research designing and testing thermal management technologies related to high-flux flow boiling diode coolers and heat pipes for cube satellites.
