Erik Witter is a researcher in the Thermal Energy Science and Technologies Group with a background in mechanical engineering. His work focuses on geothermal techno-economic analysis and modeling, with extensive work on NREL’s geothermal Annual Technology Baseline as well as the Geothermal Resource Portfolio Optimization and Reporting Technique (GeoRePORT) and Geothermal Electricity Technology Evaluation Model (GETEM) tools. Erik has recently started work at NREL’s High-Flux Solar Furnace, where he performs degradation testing on concentrated solar power materials.
