Bonnie Powell is an energy engineer in NREL's Applied Engineering Group and holds a M.S. degree in advanced energy systems and graduate certificate in humanitarian engineering from the Colorado School of Mines. At NREL, she helps federal agencies and communities achieve their renewable energy goals. She also works on international sustainable development projects and sustainable transportation research through collaboration with NREL’s mobility center. Prior to working at NREL, she received a B.S. degree in mechanical engineering from Cornell University and worked in energy efficiency consulting for three years.
