The Wind Energy Systems Engineering Workshop is a biennial workshop that invites speakers from academia, industry, and international research laboratories to discuss topics relevant to systems engineering and the wind industry.

What To Expect
Highlights include keynotes from local Colorado wind and aerospace innovators; systems engineering sessions; systems engineering design tool advances; and a tour of a wind energy startup, manufacturing facility, or NREL's Flatirons Campus.
System engineering sessions will include focus on:
- Evolving grid and economic landscape
- Floating and controls
- Wind farm design
- Design with high-fidelity models
- Industry perspectives
- Expanding the "system" and design objectives to include hybrid plants, supply chain needs, grid resiliency, environmental impacts.
Lodging and Transportation
A block of rooms has been reserved at:
Embassy Suites Boulder, 1.6 miles from the RASEI center, with government per-diem rates. Reserve a room in the Embassy Suites block before July 26, 2022.
Best Western Plus Louisville, 6.4 miles from the RASEI center, with lower nightly rates. Reserve a room in the Best Western block.
The workshop will include a modest registration fee to cover catering and facility costs.
