System Resource Allocations
To use NREL’s high-performance computing (HPC) resources, you must have access to an allocation for your research project.
An allocation is a portion of the HPC data center resources planned for a particular research project's use. Allocated resources include:
- Compute hours on NREL HPC Systems (such as Eagle)
- Storage space on NREL HPC Systems (such as Eagle).
Allocations are principally done in response to an annual call for allocation requests, which are due mid-June each year.
Also, see storage quotas for projects.
