NREL's Flatirons Campus, which houses the National Wind Technology Center (NWTC), is about 5 miles south of Boulder, Colorado. The cities of Louisville and Broomfield are nearby. The Flatirons Campus is approximately 37 miles northwest of Denver International Airport.
Please note that the Flatirons Campus is not located at the main NREL facility in Golden, Colorado; it is approximately 25 miles north of Golden.

If you plan to visit NREL's Flatirons Campus, you must check in at the Flatirons Campus Site Entrance Building and provide government-issued photo identification (for example driver's license, passport, or military ID) to obtain a security badge before entering the site. Foreign nationals must check with their host prior to their visit to make sure that a Foreign National Data Card has been signed and approved.
