The surveys were conducted by and for RTD.

Survey Methodology

Paper-based surveys, written in English and Spanish, were distributed to riders of designated bus routes. Survey sampling plans ensured the resulting data would represent the behaviors and opinions of bus riders on any given weekday.

2018: State Highway 119

Launched on Oct. 25, 2018, the survey was distributed to riders onboard the BOLT and J bus routes along State Highway 119. Of the 855 surveys distributed, 228 were returned for analysis.

2019: U.S. Route 287

Surveys were distributed to riders onboard the #225 bus route on March 12, 2019, and the LD bus route on March 19, 2019. Of the 1,165 surveys distributed, 232 were returned for analysis. Resulting data were weighted to accommodate fewer-than-expected survey responses for the 225 route.
