BESTEST-GSR: Building Energy Simulation Test – Generation Simulation and Reporting

BESTEST is a method to validate the qualitative performance of whole-building simulations engines relative to one another. For EnergyPlus® and OpenStudio®, the generation of test cases, simulation, and reporting was a manual or partially automated process that took months after a new version of EnergyPlus came out. BESTEST-GSR automates this process so it is less error-prone and time-consuming and can quickly run on request for any development branch of EnergyPlus and OpenStudio.
