The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) is now accepting applications for its 2017 Executive Energy Leadership Program.

NREL’s Executive Energy Leadership Program, also known as Energy Execs, provides non-technical business, governmental, and community leaders throughout the country an opportunity to learn about renewable energy and energy efficiency technologies, analytical tools, and financing to guide their organizations and communities in energy-related decisions and planning. Leaders in the private sector, communities, non-profits and government are eligible to participate in the program.  The program requires travel to Golden, Colorado, for participation in monthly three-day sessions from June through September.

Participants will be selected from a national pool of candidates.  Since 2007, representatives from more than 200 industry, government, and non-profit organizations have graduated from the Energy Execs program.

NREL is the U.S. Department of Energy's primary national laboratory for renewable energy and energy efficiency research and development. NREL is operated for DOE by the Alliance for Sustainable Energy, LLC.
