Workshop Topics

PV power inverters, a critical component of solar energy systems, have a range of reliability challenges.

Research priorities to be discussed include:

  • Assessment of the present state of PV inverter reliability
  • Approaches and solutions for reliability challenges
  • Testing, standards, performance, and reliability metrics
  • Lifetime of active and passive components
  • Life cycle cost and ownership issues
  • Lessons learned from related applications and market sectors
  • Data reporting, analytics, and data sharing.

A full agenda is under development.

Registration

The workshop has reached capacity, and registration is closed.
NREL will post a summary of the workshop as a report in late summer 2024.
