
Yicheng Zhang is a postdoctoral researcher in the Materials Science Center at NREL. He is interested in developments of cathode, anode, and electrolyte materials for lithium-ion batteries. He also has the expertise in inorganic material synthesis and characterization. His recent research focus is on low-cobalt monoxide battery materials.
He earned his doctorate in material science and engineering from Binghamton University, advised by Professor M. Stanley Whittingham.
