Wangda Zuo is an associate professor of architectural engineering at the University of Colorado Boulder and holds a joint appointment at NREL. His research focuses on advanced modeling and simulation for smart, sustainable, and resilient cities, including model-based optimization for sustainable buildings and communities; large-scale modeling for the design of smart and resilient cities; fast indoor and outdoor simulation of airflow and contaminant; and building-to-grid integration. Dr. Zuo is the recipient of the International Building Performance Simulation Association (IBPSA)-USA Emerging Professional Award, Eliahu I. Jury Early Career Research Award, ASHRAE Distinguished Service Award, Provost Research Award, and Social Economic Environmental Design (SEED) Leadership Award.
