Timothy Thatcher is a member of NREL's Advanced Computing Operations team. With a background in high-performance computing (HPC) and Linux systems administration, he provides technical assistance and support for users of HPC systems and other advanced computing resources at NREL. 

His professional experience includes:

• Linux/HPC systems: Sysadmin for multiple university HPC clusters, from the data center to the HPC software stack
• User support: Advanced technical assistance for university researchers using HPC resources and scientific/research software across a wide range of fields.

Research Interests

HPC systems engineering and administration in support of research, scientific computing, and data science, with Linux and free/open source software
