Shubhankar Upasani is a member of the Resources and Sustainability Group in the Strategic Energy Analysis Center. His current research focuses on analyzing lifecycle energy and environmental impacts for lightweight materials and identifying circular economy solutions for construction materials. He also works on the development and upkeep of the Materials Flow through Industry (MFI) tool developed at NREL.
