Rick Armstrong supports the assessment and application of energy technologies to enable increased levels of renewable energy generation and system reliability. Before joining NREL, Armstrong supported the Army Office of Energy Initiatives and Air Force Office of Energy Assurance, where he assisted in development and execution of energy security assessments and conceptual microgrid designs for numerous Army and Air Force installations.
