Pamela Witter supports the Advanced Computing Operations manager and staff in the Computational Science Center. That includes support of the High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Cloud teams; budget forecasting and tracking current year expense and reporting; purchase requisitions and other miscellaneous purchase and tracking; multiple calendars support and communications including lab-wide program office Cloud project award members and kick-offs; other communications via email and reports; ad-hoc group support such as the internal preparation for HPC-3 technical specifications; and the external executive committee reviewing those, for the next-gen super computer.
Pamela worked at National Center for Atmospheric Research/University Corporation for Atmospheric Research in the past, and then worked for Colorado high-tech and bio-tech startups while obtaining her degrees. She worked in New Mexico in sales for over 10 years and then returned to Colorado. While working on contract before joining NREL in 2019, Pamela supported upper management at the developer Forest City/Brookfield where she tracked, paid, and closed out both multifamily housing and Denver Stapleton construction project financials. In a similar role just before joining NREL, she supported operations and the CEO of Iconergy, a sustainable energy contractor in downtown Denver.
