Rane is a researcher in the Applied Engineering Group of NREL's Energy Security and Resilience Center. Currently he supports the Microgrids, Infrastructure Resilience, and Advanced Controls Launchpad (MIRACL) under the distributed wind portfolio. The project focuses on integrating distributed wind technology in microgrids and grid-connected systems and studying their impact on power quality and ancillary services. Rane also supports the U.S. Army Garrison in Italy in their efforts to perform microgrid feasibility and conceptual design analysis.
