Janine Freeman Keith is a member of the Distributed Systems and Storage Group in the Strategic Energy Analysis Center. She is a Senior Engineer at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. She has been at NREL since 2013, working primarily on engineering and software development for the System Advisor Model (SAM), where she now serves as the principal investigator for the project. Her expertise lies in photovoltaic and wind power modeling, as well as experimental design and testing of vertical axis wind turbines. She has additional experience in software development, wind and solar resource assessment, and mechanical engineering design.
