James Shelby joined NREL March 2010 as the Linux Desktop integrator providing Linux laptops and solutions to people in the lab. In 2015 he saw an opportunity to work in the HPC Operations that allowed him to switch from a contractor to a full-time employee. His current duties include: member of the operations Eagle team of three on duty in weekly rotation, Eagle application license manager support, scripts for simplifying metrics, and system status. His background is in architecting system solutions and software development.
