Emily Harrell provides proposal and project management support to the Computational Science Center. This work includes providing budgeting, planning, and compliance support for principal investigators during the proposal creation and submission process, as well as during project preparation, execution, and closeout. In addition, Emily supports center leadership in the budgeting, planning, and execution of institutional and annual operating plan-funded projects, as well as center overhead. She also assists the center’s business processes for industry partnerships, lab-wide computational education resources, and annual Laboratory Directed Research and Development program selection, among others.

She joined NREL in 2019 after previously working in administrative support and project coordination roles in the heavy civil construction industry in Tennessee and Colorado.

In her spare time, she is pursuing a master's degree in accounting at Regis University.
