Dave works as a research electrician at the Flatirons Campus focusing on designing, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting MW scale grid integration equipment. His work specializes in solar, wind, and battery electrical systems feeding the Controllable Grid Interface, 2.5MW and 5MW dynamometers. Before joining NREL, Dave worked as a journeyman electrician for 24 years. Prior to that, Dave spent 5.5 years serving in the Marine Corps Artillery.
