Dani Salyer joined NREL in 2010 and currently provides program and proposal coordination for NREL’s EERE-Strategic Analysis Laboratory Program Manager, and project management for high priority EERE projects such as the Decarbonization Area of Interest-1 multi-laboratory collaboration, the Storage Futures Study, and the Thermal Energy Systems project. She served as the principal investigator in FY21 leading a multi-laboratory team evaluating DOE research priorities for energy equity and environmental justice, and as a project management co-lead for the FY18 Beyond LCOE multi-office DOE collaboration. Dani has additionally provided primary planning and reporting support to leaders of other cross-cutting flagship analysis portfolios including the Annual Technology Baseline, the Electrification Futures Study, and NREL’s work with DOE on nuclear-renewable hybrid energy systems, clean energy manufacturing, and energy policy and systems analysis. She contributes thought leadership to special initiatives for NREL priorities including the Analysis Council. Dani’s core capabilities include program development, proposal management, milestone tracking, monitoring and evaluation reporting, cost planning and financial analysis, team leadership and collaboration, and technical writing.
