Ben Sigrin is a member of the Distributed Systems and Storage Group within the Integrated Applications Center at NREL. He leads the team behind NREL’s open source Distributed Generation Market Demand (dGen) model. Sigrin is also currently a Department of Energy Fellow to the Justice40 Initiative—a plan to deliver 40% of the overall benefits of climate investments to disadvantaged communities and inform equitable research, development, and deployment.

Ben is knowledageble in distributed energy resources, consumer behavior and adoption of new technologies, financial modeling and statistical analysis, risk and uncertainty modeling, and agent-based modeling of electricity markets.
