SolarPILOT™ advances the analytical flux image Hermite series approximation used in DELSOL3 by applying it to individual heliostat images rather than "zones," allowing characterization of a variety of heliostat field layouts. SolarPILOT also integrates the SolTrace Monte-Carlo ray tracing engine, providing improved receiver optical modeling capability, a user-friendly front end for geometry definition, and side-by-side validation of the analytical algorithms.
