Patrick Lamers

Patrick is a member of the Resources and Sustainability Group in the Strategic Energy Analysis Center, where he focuses on integrated life-cycle and systems sustainability analysis. As the Systems-level Analysis Lead, he provides program support to the U.S. Department of Energy Bioenergy Technologies Office and is currently the U.S. co-lead for the IEA Bioenergy Task 45 on Climate and Sustainability Effects of Bioenergy within the Broader Bioeconomy. Patrick has lived and worked on four continents, managing interdisciplinary and often international projects for the private sector, governmental, and non-governmental agencies in renewable energy. He (co-) authored numerous peer-reviewed scientific studies and served as a contributing author to international reports including the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)’s Special Report on Renewable Energy Sources and Climate Change Mitigation. He renews his energy by spending time with his kids, in the mountains, and playing music.
