Maharshi joined NREL in 2018. His research is focused on development of the open source platform for building energy performance sector. This includes developing capabilities of OpenStudio software’s capabilities to analyze the residential buildings and streamlining the existing residential buildings energy auditing programs as part of the Building America Program.
Prior to working at NREL, Maharshi was a graduate student at ASU where he focused on incorporation of machine learning techniques into the modeling of commercial building stocks that can assist the policy-level decisionmaking on national, state and city scale. His background is in building energy performance analysis and data analytics.
