Dr. Kristin "Kris" Munch is a computer scientist who has worked in the Computational Science Center at NREL since 2009 and serves as the group manager of the Data, Analysis and Visualization Group. In addition to her group manager role, Kristin also works across all scientific domains at NREL in the area of scientific data management, database and data systems design, database clusters, storage systems integration, and distributed data analytics. She has used her experience in laboratory data management systems, lab process workflows, data modeling, and complex data structures to help develop data systems covering both big data and traditional data architectures in the National Center for Photovoltaics, the National Wind Technology Center, the Bioenergy Research Center, the National Bioenergy Center, Energy Systems Integration, and many other programs at NREL.
