Dr. Rood is a computational scientist at NREL. He currently works on performance engineering of next-generation applications for both wind energy and combustion energy under the DOE’s Exascale Computing project. Dr. Rood has also previously worked on high performance computing projects for agent-based simulations of ancient societies at Argonne National Lab, instrument analysis applications for NASA while at Tech-X Corporation, bioinformatics applications while at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, and weather and climate applications while at ETH Zürich.
