  • Electrochemical and thermochemical conversion of biomass-derived compounds to chemicals and fuels

  • Numeric modeling of chemical reaction kinetics and reactor hydrodynamics

  • Process modeling to assist techno-economic analyses

  • Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy techniques for the characterization of electrochemical systems

  • Developing and characterizing reactors and systems for energy generation and storage devices (e.g., direct sodium borohydride fuel cells, polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cells, solid-oxide fuel cells, and redox flow batteries)
