Bruce Bugbee

Bruce began his NREL career in Fall 2015 as a Computational Statistician in the Computational Science Center. His general role has been to provide support and insight on advanced statistical and machine learning topics to the NREL community at large, as well as to develop a research agenda supporting data science capabilities within the CSC. Bruce has worked with a variety of groups at NREL with particular emphasis recently on teams in power systems, high-performance computing, energy system modeling, and commercial vehicles. Outside of NREL, Bruce is an avid coach and competitor in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and submission grappling.
