Bruce Bugbee is a computational statistician with NREL's Computational Science Center. His research is primarily focused on semiparametric regression, functional data, and variational approximation methods. After he earned his Ph.D. in 2014, Dr. Bugbee spent a year working as a postdoctoral researcher at MD Anderson Cancer Center where he contributed to efforts to study various statistical questions in epigenetics related to cancer. Dr. Bugbee joined NREL in September 2015 to support a wide variety of groups at NREL.
