August 12, 2013

Researchers at Utah State University's Jon M. Huntsman School of Business have published a series of reports that provide an overview of Utah's potential for wind energy development used for electricity generation as well as an economic analysis of this potential development. The analyses draw on information from local wind developers and utilize the Jobs and Economic Development Impact (JEDI) model (version W1.10.03) developed by the DOE's National Renewable Energy Laboratory to estimate the total economic impacts (labor, supply chain, and induced) that could result from the development of a wind power plant in a county.
