HPC Intro Course for interns and mentors

This interactive course will cover basics for using NREL HPC resources. An active NREL HPC user account and a computer will be required.

This course will be held in ESIF B308 - Insight Center Visualization Room

The two hour course will consist of two Sessions (you are welcome to attend one or both of the sessions):

Session 1 - 45 minutes

Introduction to Linux for HPCSet up your system to use HPC
Cover the basics of using the Linux command line
Basics of remote system access (SSH) and Linux permissions
Break - 15 minutes

Session 2 - 60 minutes

Introduction to NREL HPC Systems Explore HPC File Systems
Software environments and modules
Introduction to Slurm
Getting productive with Eagle
