EERE FY23 Allocations Update
Sept. 28, 2022
Dear HPC Users:
Many of you have already received your completed FY23 allocations. However, most EERE
decisions are still officially pending. We realize you may be concerned about a possible
disruption of research while waiting for FY23 decisions.
To enable you to perform research as we cross the fiscal year boundary, we have issued an initial allocation of 12,500 AUs on Eagle for Q1 of FY23. Once we have allocation decisions from EERE, we will increase the amount of AUs in your account as needed. Please note that our initial allocation should not be seen as an approval of your total request, or as an indication that EERE has decided to fund your work if a funding decision is pending.
If EERE decisions are delayed for more than a few days into the start of the fiscal year, we will do our best to ensure all projects have enough computational resources to continue progress. If you believe you will need additional AUs while EERE decisions are pending, please contact hpc-requests@nrel.gov.
On a related note, Eagle will be operational on October 1 and 2 before shutting down for system time on October 3. We encourage all users to take advantage of this time period to complete simulations, as it is a time period where the computer is usually significantly under-used.
Thank you for your patience with this process.
