Dr. Stevanović graduated from the Faculty of Physics, Belgrade University and earned his Ph.D. degree from Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne in 2009. He has a background in theoretical condensed matter physics and experience in the numerical techniques and computer simulations based on density functional theory that he applied to bulk oxides and oxide surfaces, as well as the gas-phase and supported metallic clusters. He joined the Solid State Theory Team at NREL as a postdoctoral researcher in September of 2009. Vladan is currently working on the high-throughput theoretical prediction of new materials and studying the influence of the cation disorder on the properties of spinel oxides.
