The Eagle Has Landed Video (Text Version)

This is the text version for the video The Eagle Has Landed.

What can perform 8 million billion calculations per second, will be housed in the world’s most energy efficient data center, and will power scientific insights to fast-track our energy transformation?

Meet Eagle, NREL’s newest supercomputer, dedicated to advancing energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies.

Landing soon at the Energy Systems Integration Facility, Eagle will more than triple the lab’s computing capability meaning way more computing power to help our extraordinary experts build the models and simulations that can help transform our energy system.
