Evening of Climbing Films and Camaraderie

Golden, CO 80401

Phone: 303.384.6565

The NREL Climbing Club is hosting its first film premiere, where Paradox Sports will provide refreshments, host a gear giveaway, and showcase its most recent short films:

·        "Stumped" follows Boulder climber Maureen Beck on an epic quest to crush her first 5.12 graded climbing route in Boulder Canyon. "I don't want to be known as just a one-armed climber," Beck says. "I just want to be a good climber."

·        "Enock" follows Enock Glidden, born with spina bifida and paralyzed from the waist down. He had a dream of climbing Yosemite's El Capitan, and with support from Paradox Sports, the dream became a reality.

Maureen Beck will be in attendance to speak about her film and her journey with Paradox.

You are invited to this free event.  Seating and parking are limited, so RSVP early and plan to carpool.  On the RSVP page, click "Get Tickets" to reserve your seat. Donations are encouraged.

About the NREL Climbing Club
When it was formed, the NREL Climbing Club made connecting with local nonprofits a top priority. In a little over a year, the club has forged valuable relationships with several organizations, one of which is its partnership with Paradox.

About Paradox Sports
Paradox offers accessible climbing experiences for people with disabilities, defying the perception that the disabled cannot lead an adventurous life. Individuals can participate in activities like indoor and outdoor rock climbing, ice climbing, and mountaineering.
