Southwest Windpower Receives Best of What's New Award

Southwest Windpower recently received a 2006 Best of What's New Award from Popular Science for its newest product, the Skystream 3.7 wind generator. This wind turbine, which was developed in collaboration with the DOE/NREL, is designed to be a quiet and affordable way to protect homeowners from rising electricity costs. Product costs are estimated at $10,000 to $12,000 including installation. The Skystream was featured at the Popular Science Best of What's New Showcase in New York in November and is included in the magazine's December edition. The Skystream was also recognized by Time Magazine in November as one of the "Best Inventions 2006." Learn more about the Skystream turbine.
