Southwest Windpower Receives Best of What's New Award

Southwest Windpower recently received a 2006 Best of What's New Award from Popular Science for its newest product, the Skystream 3.7 wind generator. This wind turbine, which was developed in collaboration with the DOE/NREL, is designed to be a quiet and affordable way to protect homeowners from rising electricity costs. Product costs are estimated at $10,000 to $12,000 including installation. The Skystream was featured at the Popular Science Best of What's New Showcase in New York in November and is included in the magazine's December edition.
