Midsize Wind Turbine Workshops and Webinars

Here you will find workshops and Webinars hosted by the Midsize Wind Turbine Development Project.

Midsize Wind Turbines for the U.S. Community Wind Market: Webinar

In this Webinar, held on April 28, 2010, participants learned about the DOE Midsize Wind Turbine Development Project, how this turbine size seems to fit the budgets of most existing community wind projects, and some examples of community wind projects.

U.S. Midsize Wind Turbine Development Workshops

The purpose of these workshops was to facilitate collaboration between wind turbine designers and U.S. manufacturers and build awareness of the DOE-NREL Midsize Wind Turbine Development Project. These workshops included panel presentations by turbine designers and manufacturers, information about the NREL's National Wind Technology Center, and an opportunity to network.

Three workshops were held on April 8, 2010, March 24, 2010, and November 6, 2009. The 2010 workshops were coordinated and facilitated by Great Lakes Wind Network. View materials from these workshops.
