Security Procedures for Golden Laboratories and Offices
If you are visiting any part of NREL other than the Visitors Center, NREL's security procedures require that you show government-issued photo identification upon check in before you can receive a visitor's badge.
Visitors Center
Visitors to the NREL Visitors Center are not required to check in at the Site Entrance Building, and do not need a visitor's badge. Foreign national students participating in Visitors Center group programs are required to have a passport and visa as well as advance security approval.
Denver West Office Park (Buildings 7, 15, 16, and 17)
Park in one of the designated visitor's parking places at Building 17 and proceed to the front entrance of Building 17. All visitors to NREL's central offices must check in with the receptionist on the ground floor of Building 17 to receive a visitor's badge. Visitors are required to show government-issued photo identification (for example driver's license, passport, or military ID). Your NREL or DOE host will then be called to escort you. Foreign Nationals must check with their host prior to their visit to make sure that a Foreign National Data Card has been signed and approved.
Denver West Building 52 - Center for Renewable Energy and Economic Development (CREED)
Visitors to the NREL offices are required to check in at the NREL Visitor's Center. Visitors need to be prepared to show government-issued photo identification (for example driver's license, passport, or military ID), and will need to be escorted by a host while in the NREL office space. Visitors to the public area of CREED do not require a host.
South Table Mountain Site
Park in the Visitors Center parking lot and check in with the receptionist in the Visitors Center. Visitors are required to show government-issued photo identification (for example driver's license, passport, or military ID). Your NREL or DOE host will then be called to escort you.
Parking is limited on the South Table Mountain Site. Check with your host to arrange transportation past the Visitor's Center. Shuttle service is available on demand from NREL. When parking is available, visitor vehicles will be permitted to drive to the surface parking lot on the South Table Mountain site and use the NREL shuttle to travel to their host's building. Foreign Nationals must check with their host prior to their visit to make sure that a Foreign National Data Card has been signed and approved.
Golden Hill
All visitors to NREL's Golden Hill offices must check in with the receptionist on the first floor of Building "C" to receive a visitor's badge. Visitors are required to show government-issued photo identification (for example driver's license, passport, or military ID). Your NREL or DOE host will then be called to escort you. Foreign Nationals must check with their host prior to their visit to make sure that a Foreign National Data Card has been signed and approved.
