Security Procedure for NREL's Washington, D.C. Office

All NREL and DOE employees can access the building by displaying their NREL or DOE badge. Building security will accept all Government-issued ID badges, as well as company-issued badges for tenants in the building.

People displaying an NREL or DOE badge may also escort a non-Government person into the building.

All non-government visitors must email their first and last name along with the date of their arrival to Wanda Addison. Building security will be notified that they are expected; otherwise they will be delayed while security calls to authorize their entry. Non-Government visitors must show a photo ID.

Foreign visitors must comply with NREL's policies and the proper paperwork must be filed with the NREL Security Office in Golden prior to the visit. Please contact Wanda Addison for additional information.

Everyone who enters the building will have to pass through a magnetometer and have their personal effects and food x-rayed.
