NREL's Vehicle Systems Analysis Project works closely with industry, government, and universities to advance a variety of vehicle technologies. These collaborative efforts are key to developing affordable and effective technologies, which helps move them into the marketplace.

We provide opportunities to develop technology partnerships, license our technologies, and use our facilities.

Developing Technology Partnerships

NREL offers a variety of technology partnership agreements to help you gain access to our research expertise and capabilities in vehicle systems analysis. You can:

  • Work collaboratively with us on a project through a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement.
  • Pay NREL to conduct research without your collaboration through a Work-for-Others agreement.

Licensing Our Technology

Your company can license any of NREL's advanced vehicle and fuels technologies, many of which have been patented. For more information, see licensing NREL technologies and the technologies available for licensing.

Using Our Facilities

NREL's world-class advanced vehicle and fuels laboratory facilities are available to industrial, university, and government researchers.
